Working hours are over 5 days per week, Monday to Friday. This important role supports the Outpatient Services in Oncology for Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. You will ideally have secretarial experience and be accustomed to working in a high pressured yet friendly environment. As a member of the secretarial team, you must possess an excellent work ethic with proven organisational and communication skills. You will be expected to take responsibility for the workload of a small team of consultants and support the wider secretarial teams as required andunder the supervision of the Supervisor Secretaries. About us - Use of voice recognition software to transcribe and proofread dictated letters - Typing correspondence to patients, GPs, medical staff and any other required addressee following clinical attendance or other patientcontacts as directed by the secretary supervisor. - Typing detailed medical reports for legal use when necessary. - Take and transcribe minutes as appropriate. - Diary management, including making appointments, booking of meeting dates and venues, organising and distributing paperwork asrequired by the clinical team/supervisor. - Supporting consultant staff by assisting with the production/transcription of medical staffing paperwork, such as references etc. - Liaising with external organisations for the benefit and progress of patient care, such as Social Services, other hospitals, etc - Take ownership and responsibility for the workload of a team of Consultants, Drs and Nurses See full Job description for further details "}
