We are looking to recruit a Band 6 Educational Mental Health Practitioner to join the existing CAMHS School in Reach (SiR) team. The SiR team operate locally, across primary and secondary schools and is connected to a wider system of CAMHS Early Intervention Prevention and Promotion provision. The CAMHS SiR team deliver: consultation, training, group work and early advice to the school community in order to build capability and capacity in others to respond to the child or young persons emerging emotional and mental health needs. These elements of the role are driven by the principles highlighted in the NEST framework (mental health and wellbeing) | GOV.WALES . Additionally, partnership working is key to this role and includes collaborating with learners, teachers, parents/carers, additional learning staff and professionals from the multi-agency; as defined by Framework on embedding a whole-school approach to emotional and mental wellbeing | GOV.WALES The ability to speak welsh and travel across the two counties is essential for the service.
