We are looking for someone who has a proven track record and substantial experience in the care of patients across a range of specialties and significant experience in a senior nurse leadership role. You will be a Registered Nurse, educated to Masters degree level or equivalent and provide evidence of continuing professional development. Hours per week: 37.5 Working under the direction of the Deputy Chief Operating Officer and professionally led by the Director of Nursing the post holder will lead on the following key aspects: Professional and operational leadership Clinical Governance and quality Nursing/Midwifery/AHP workforce planning Service Development Managing nursing/AHP performance You will embody our values, have a passion for operational delivery, a passion for patient care and have excellent communication skills. A proven track record of innovation and success in senior operational and clinical management roles is essential, including high levels of engagement with staff and external partners. You will be accountable for the professional development of nursing staff. You will provide professional leadership that will enable, influence, negotiate and engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders to improve patient care and nurse leadership. As a very senior nurse, you will work with the Director of Nursing and Quality to ensure that professional standards are maintained across the Trust and that the organisation fulfils in total, its mandatory responsibilities concerning safety, risk and governance.
