We're currently looking to welcome a Band 5 Registered Practitioner to our Frimley Health Family, on fixed term that will cover 12months in DSU2 Theatres and Minor Ops . If you are an experienced registered Nurse or ODP, student due to qualify and are looking to develop your career then we would love to hear from you! DSU2 Theatres and Minor Ops offers a variety of surgical specialties including ENT, General/Breast, Urology, Pain, Dermatology with the addition of Gynaecology, Upper GI, Colorectal and limited Vascular. Newly qualified practitioners are provided with a 12 month bespoke preceptorship programme with 14 days protected study designed to teach and develop our practitioners to the highest standard. The post also offers opportunities for growth and development such as exposure and trainings with other departments including Emergency Department, Intensive Care and Post Anaesthetic Care with a possibility to take on dual roles in these areas. Our duties comprise of working Long Days (07.30-19.30) Monday to Friday. Our team of committed Registered Nurses, Operating Department Practitioners, Assistant Theatre Practitioners, Nursing Associates and Health Care Assistants work together, value each other's strengths, skill set and clinical expertise in accordance with our Trust Values. To support the Theatre in the establishing good working atmosphere and participate in effective/efficient use of staff, supplies and services. To provide a high level of support to the perioperative team in the delivery of patient care, within the theatre area. To participate as a skilled member of the theatre team. To assist in effective communication channels between team members, medical staff, wards, and departments. To participate in achieving the stated Clinical Governance, Quality Assurance and Risk Management objectives set by the organisation. To ensure all equipment is regularly checked and maintained in a safemanner. Participate in training programmes for junior staff and other disciplines seconded to the department Prepare theatres by maintaining proper stock levels of consumables and checking that all equipment and instruments are in good, working order. To scrub for and support surgeons in performing procedures. Support staff deployment to other areas of the Trust or to one of our sister hospitals when situation arise. "}
