This post requires candidates to have a professional registration Child, Mental Health or Learning Disability Nurse, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist. We are looking to recruit enthusiastic, well-motivated, forward-thinking clinicians to work as part of our extensive and experienced team - working with young people and their families with mental health challenges living in the York area. Candidates must have 18 months post qualifying experience including sign off of appropriate preceptorship or competency framework. Applicants must ensure that prior to applying they have agreement from their current line manager that they can be released on a secondment basis. In the event that permanent funding is secured for this post the successful applicant will be confirmed in post on a permanent basis. The team is multi-disciplinary and provides specialist assessments, treatment and interventions for young people suffering from moderate to severe complex emotional, behavioural and psychological issues resulting in mental health problems. Ideally the candidates will already be trained in a governed evidence based therapy such as CBT, DBT, or SFP, or be trained as a Non Medical Prescriber (NMP). Experience of working clinically with children and young people with Mental Health and Neurodevelopmental needs is essential. However the team is currently in a position to be able to help staff develop the knowledge and experience within CAMHS and offer additional training as appropriate to role.
