The post holder will work with children who have neuro-disability, developmental delay, motor and/ or sensory difficulties in community settings. The post holder must have the ability to travel independently with unrestricted access to a car insured for business purposes. This is a fixed term maternity leave cover post, working 18.75 hours per week. To provide specialist occupational therapy assessment, advice and support to children and young people and their families with the complex physical developmental and learning needs. To work in partnership with children, their families, teachers and carers to develop and deliver treatment interventions and management programmes to target the individual needs of the patients referred to the service. To actively work in conjunction with the colleagues in the health community, Education Authority, Social Care and other partnership agencies to deliver seamless co-ordinated care to patients and their families and disseminate knowledge and facilitate a better understanding of disorders of movement impairment. To contribute to differential diagnoses for children on their caseload. Working with children with neurodevelopmental conditions over a variety of settings in the community. Delivering ongoing assessments and therapy Health Care Plans. The Children's Community Therapy team is a dynamic innovate MDT of Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Dietitians, support and clerical staff.
