We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Dietitian either wanting to expand and develop their skills, or learn new skills in a mental health setting. We are looking for ability to adapt and transferable dietetic skills to meet our service priority of ensuring the nutrition and hydration needs of our inpatients are adequately met, and to work in partnership with a range of services to promote improved physical health for people with Mental Health conditions at different stages of their recovery. The post covers inpatient acute mental health wards, providing the post holder with the opportunity to gain skills in different areas of dietetic care and have a positive impact with service users at different stages of their recovery. The post holder will work with people with a variety of clinical conditions including nutrition support, diabetes, bowel disorders, disordered eating, and weight management. Alongside the clinical aspect of the post, the post holder will have the opportunity to participate in audit, service improvement projects, CPD opportunities and student training.
