The service is open 09.00 - 17.00 hrs Monday - Friday. The post holder will work as part of the multi-disciplinary team delivering high quality patient focused care in a community setting. The role will involve improving the lives of people who have a challenging relationship with food including Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia, Binge eating and Avoidant Restrictive Intake Disorder by supporting a team of professionals in the treatment, intervention, and management of their identified mental health and physical needs through the delivery of excellent services to promote recovery and wellbeing. To be compassionate in meeting the needs of patients and their carers. Maintain safety, privacy and dignity of all patients in the delivery of patient centred care, recognising and respecting differences including spiritual and cultural beliefs. Responsible for recognising the signs of patient harm, abuse or neglect, and follows correct safeguarding policies Undertakes delegated activities within level of own competency, and with due regard to risk assessment, to assist with the implementation of intervention plans as part of the multidisciplinary team. Completes patient assessment tools and accurately summarises within patient care records as directed. Identifies changes in patients' presentation and acts, reports and records appropriately. Accompany and provide support to patients in a variety of community settings, as delegated and dependent on current risk assessment. Assists in the provision of health education and advice on health promotion to patients and their carers. Where appropriate and with authorisation, acts as an advocate for patients/carers. To promote at all times a positive image of people with mental ill health. To provide compassionate care that is based on empathy, kindness, respect and dignity.
