About us We are recruiting for a Physiotherapist to join the REACT team at Bradford Hospice. This is an innovative service developed by Marie Curie and working in partnership with Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Hours Part Time 18.75 hours per week Permanent (3 days over 5) Salary Marie Curie Pay Scale, aligned with AFC Band 6 (£37,338 to £44,962) per annum pro rata + enhancements Our team consists of nurses, Physiotherapists and doctors working in partnership with other services to prevent the unnecessary admission to hospital of patients with unmet or rapidly escalating palliative care needs.Patients will be identified in the Emergency Department of Bradford Royal Infirmary or by colleagues working in the community as having unmet symptoms control/end of life care needs that can be safely and effectively managed at home with additional short-term urgent support and intervention from our REACT community team. The Marie Curie REACT service aims to prevent unnecessary admission to hospital and reduce inequalities in access to End-of-Life services across Bradford. The team will compliment and work collaboratively with existing providers across the locality improving the experience for patients and their families With a focus on symptom control, rehabilitation and maintaining quality of life and independence you will work autonomously to plan, coordinate, develop and deliver holistic, specialist physiotherapy services as part of our multidisciplinary team being responsible for the assessment, treatment and management of patients with highly complex needs in a palliative care setting.
