Band 5 RGN Bladder and Bowel Specialist Nurse An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Full Time Band 5 RGN (37.5 hours a week Monday to Friday ) to come and join CLCH NHS Trust's Adult Bladder and Bowel Specialist Team in Hertfordshire. Prior specialist knowledge in bladder and bowel nursing is not essential but a passion to deliver a compassionate and professional service that brings dignity and care to patients is. The main responsibility of a Band 5 Bladder and Bowel Specialist nurse is to work with the team to assess and provide clinical care to patients in clinic or in their own homes (including residential care homes). As this does mean some travel with-in West Hertfordshire, candidates will need to be a car driver. You will be joining a friendly supportive team and a large NHS community Trust where professional guidance is readily available and personal and professional development is fully supported. To work within the Adult Bladder & Bowel Care Service Specialist Team assisting with the provision of assessment and clinical care of a high standard to patients, with bladder and/or bowel dysfunction, in clinics, in their own homes and Residential Care Homes. The post holder will be responsible for: Independently assessing patients (including bladder scans), devising treatment plans, and delivering care. Triaging patients. Building and maintaining positive working relationships with key stakeholders. Delivering bladder and bowel care training to trust staff and within other areas as required. About us To deliver care in accordance with organisational policies, procedures, and guidelines. To support the service with new patient referral data inputting, clinic, and home visit appointments bookings, taking of messages and answering phone enquiries and any other administration duties as required. To work within the Adult Bladder & Bowel Service Specialist Team completing continence assessments including bladder scanning, physical assessments and urine testing as clinically indicated, providing clinical care of a high standard to patients, in clinics, in their own homes, and Care Homes. To work within the agreed service level agreement and formularies for the provision of containment products.
