Bradford Teaching Hospitals is a great place to work, with a friendly and welcoming pharmacy team. The size of the department means there are many opportunities for a motivated pharmacy technician to develop and use their skills, and you will be supported by senior staff. In order to apply for this post you must be registered as a Pharmacy technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council The trust spends in the order of £50 million per annum on medicines. You will work closely with the Specialist Pharmacist - Clinical Commissioning and with the trust contracting and finance teams and speciality leads to assist in the delivery of the trust medicines optimisation strategy and initiatives. You will be part of a well-supported and established team; you will work with experienced staff and we will ensure that you are offered appropriate training and development for the role if required. You will have the opportunity to attend regional and national events and training. You will also be encouraged to network with colleagues in similar roles in other trusts, and to work with the NHS England local area team pharmacy and medicines lead. Some input will also be required into the dispensary services, including being part of the weekend and bank holiday working rotas.
