We're on the hunt for an ambitious Biomedical Scientist nightworker to join our dedicated Haematology and Blood Transfusion team. This is a career milestone for Band 6 aspirants or those seeking enriching experiences in a new environment. We're looking for a candidate who is not just looking for a job but is passionate about making a significant impact in Haematology & Blood Transfusion. You'll bring your HCPC registration, substantial post-registration experience, and a blend of excellent technical, interpersonal, and IT skills. Your ability to communicate effectively and work independently or collaboratively will make you a perfect fit for our team. Staff are expected to travel across our six hospital sites when required. Applications are invited from self -motivating, suitably qualified HCPC registered Biomedical Scientists with strong post HCPC experience and an IBMS Specialist Portfolio or, equivalent demonstrable knowledge and experience. We offer exceptional training and support programs, aimed at enhancing your skills and facilitating progression to higher banding roles. If that is not enough to tempt you, we will be giving an extra £4,000 on top of your salary payable in six terms monthly periods as part of our recruitment and retention premium (subject to and conditions being met). Informal visits and chats welcome! Preparation and provision of blood and blood products to requesting clinicians who have prescribed transfusion care of their patients. Maintaining complex analytical equipment, sample analysis, technical validation and reporting of results including morphology, supervising unqualified staff and deputising for section leads when necessary. Recording and reporting of incidents/complaints involving staff, patients and visitors in accordance with Trust policies and assisting in the investigations as required.
