We are seeking an OT or PT Deputy Team Lead to manage and support staff at our Slough based Inpatient Unit. On occasion you may need to provide leadership cover across our Maidenhead Inpatient Unit. Both our units are community physical health wards which is a key stepping stone for adult patients transitioning back into the community following surgery or acute medical care. This is a unique opportunity for a therapist with extensive experience in physical health needs to team lead in a hospital-based environment. In this hands-on role you'll have your own caseload, however your main focus will be supervising a team of OTs handling complex cases. Working Pattern and Service Operating Hours Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8-4, with flexible working arrangements considered. About the Job The post will be part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team which will offer assessment and treatment for patients in the east of Berkshire. You will supervise the team on a day-to-day basis. You will provide clinical leadership and specialist advice, through supervision of more junior staff, Multi Therapy Assistants, support workers and other members of the interdisciplinary team. To identify service developments, and contribute to the planning, development and evaluation of the service and have responsibility for defined projects. To be responsible for a highly complex caseload using an interdisciplinary, patient focused rehabilitative approach. Foster key relationships with various healthcare teams, including acute care, secondary care, primary care and GPs, intermediate care teams & social services, clinical governance & patient safety managers community matrons, case managers and district nurses.
