An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our enthusiastic team on Ward 3 (Surgical Day Case Unit). The patient centred team focus on safely admitting all surgical elective patients and recovering patient's postoperatively, leading up to their discharge home. We cover a variety of surgical specialities including ENT, breast, urology, colorectal, gynaecology, general surgery, plastics, vascular, ophthalmology and pain. As a department our nursing team deliver high standards of care, we are looking for a conscientious, reliable and energetic person to join our team. We are looking to recruit to a 32 hour per week post, Monday - Sunday. To admit patients for surgery and deliver pre and post op nursing care followed by effective discharge planning for a wide range of nursing services . You will work along side a team of experienced day case nurses and clinicians who aim to deliver a safe and effective, patient focused service.Under the supervision of the Ward Leaders, the nurse is responsible for the provision, organisation and direction of nursing care of the patients in his/her care. The successful candidate must be able to communicate effectively with all members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure that a safe, and high standard of care is provided to all patients. "}
