Due to promotion, we are looking for an experienced, forward thinking Occupational Therapist to join the Community Stroke Service here in Herefordshire. You will be working as part of an skillful and supportive multi-disciplinary team alongside other Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists and Therapy Support Workers/ Practitioners. This is a countywide service therefore you will need to be able to fulfil the travel requirements of post. We would also consider a development role to start at band 5 progressing to band 6 once relevant competencies and experience have been gained. As an important member of the team, the post holder will assess, plan, implement and evaluate the delivery of occupational therapy. You will be part of the therapy resource providing Early Supported Discharge input as well as longer term Stroke Rehabilitation. You will provide assessment, support planning and interventions to meet the person's needs in the community ensuring the delivery of high-quality care. We offer good support, supervision and opportunities for development, including the potential for externally funded courses. As a service we are innovative, forward thinking and encourage staff engagement. You will have the opportunity to be involved in service development/ quality improvement and develop leadership skills as well as supervising staff and engagement in student placement education. "}
