To work alongside our multi-disciplinary team as a band 5 working up to 37.5 hours a week. Providing sensitive and professional care at all times. This post will be for an anaesthetic practitioner but a requirement to move to scrub or recovery may be required. To act as a role model, demonstrate own activities to new/less experience employees. Liaise with the ward and other departments and all members of the multidisciplinary team in the care and treatment of patients. Provide holistic care utilising persuasive, empathic and reassurance skills where necessary from admission to discharge in the department. Assess, plan and implement care of the patient seeking advice when required and taking appropriate action. To work within organisational policies, standard operating procedures and guidelines. To comply with health, safety and security requirements of self and others. To contribute to the development of services and quality improvements The post holder will ensure they understand their responsibilities with regard to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults. The main duty is to adhere to HCPC/NMC and AFPP guidelines of good Practice supporting safe and effective surgical and anaesthetic care. Working proactively within the MDT to achieve positive patient outcomes and satisfaction. Contribute to quality improvement. Develop and enhance the skills and knowledge of others and self. Promote best evidence-based practice within own scope of practice. Apply legislation, policies and procedures correctly. Respect the patients dignity, privacy, wishes and beliefs.
