The team of pharmacists you will join are experienced and extremely supportive To deliver a clinical ward-based pharmacy service to the inpatients and day units To liaise with the consultants and senior nursing staff to deliver and promote high quality, cost effective and patient-focused pharmaceutical care To prepare new drug submissions and prescribing guidelines for the Drug & Therapeutics Committee taking into account all relevant local and national policies and procedures. This also includes implementing, monitoring and updating current prescribing guidelines To lead, support and develop junior pharmacists and foundation pharmacists in their clinical rotations To participate in the induction of staff. This includes induction of resident pharmacists to ensure familiarity and understanding of policies/procedures and dispensing practices during out of hours. To support the pharmacists working within the CIVAS unit with prescription screening. To participate in departmental and multidisciplinary audit/research activities, to ensure that cost-improvement and quality targets are met To attend Departmental meetings, communicate information, keep one's self informed and maintain an active CPD portfolio.
