Please note this is a community-based role that requires frequent travel to various locations throughout the county including areas that may not be accessible by public transportation. Bases: Camborne-Redruth Hospital, Camborne Health Office, Helston Community Hospital and Bellair, Penzance. Rotations are currently 9 months in duration, enabling you to develop skills in rehabilitation in a variety of settings including:o a community hospital inpatient unit with an in-reach/outreach service at Helston community hospitalo the West Respiratory team at Helston community hospitalo the Community Rehabilitation team in the stunning far West of Cornwall, Penwith, ando Kerrier Homefirst team based at Camborne Health Office.You will be expected to carry out specialist assessment of patients as an autonomous practitioner including those with highly complex presentations, and to use advanced clinical reasoning skills and knowledge of evidence based practice to determine appropriate diagnosis and care plan utilising a wide range of treatment skills and options.This is an ideal opportunity for a physiotherapist keen to develop his/her rehabilitation skills in the community and experience working as part of dynamic, progressive integrated multiagency, multidisciplinary teams.We will offer a supportive working environment in which to develop your clinical and interpersonal skills, a structured in-service training programme; appraisal and supervision system. You will be encouraged to supervise support workers and more junior staff, and be involved in the clinical education of students.
