All nurses within our team gain experience in all aspects of giving anti-cancer therapies in addition to honing assessment skills in identifying and treating side effects, working closely with the multi-disciplinary teams across our Cancer Centre. We are keen to invest in our workforce and their education, having the opportunity to work closely with the clinical education team to build a personal developmental plan and training package, which can include the health assessment and nurse prescribing course. The cancer centre is a supportive environment to work and allowing staff to grow both professionally and academically within cancer care. We are seeking a clinical nurse educator who is dynamic and forward-thinking and has 2 years experience working in an oncology/haematology environment. You will need to have excellent organisational skills and experience in leadership. We are looking for a clinical nurse educator to join the oncology and haematology inpatient ward at the cancer centre. You must have a passion for acute nursing and be able to demonstrate good knowledge of oncological and haematological emergencies. The possession of the SACT passport is essential. The ideal candidate will have considerable clinical skills and be enthusiastic to develop their knowledge further to ensure a high standard of care is given to every patient in our care. You must be familiar with the UKONS triage tool. Good understanding of effective patient flow with other emergency portals in the Trust.
