Join our Berkshire Eating Disorders Service (BEDS), where you'll play a crucial role in supporting young people with eating disorders - including where these disorders are co-morbid with neurodevelopmental diagnoses. Based in Maidenhead & Reading with some work from home. You'll be an experienced OT with a holistic skill set and will work within our multidisciplinary team to assess, develop and implement care plans. We offer evidence-based interventions and therapies in a supportive outpatient setting. Working closely with young people and their families, you'll join us in having a patient centred tailored approach with a core principle that every decision made through the eye of the patient. We are a committed and friendly team who support each other and make decisions collaboratively. You'll be part of a service renowned for its innovation and pioneering methods , for example our SHaRON service which has subsequently been rolled out across other services and Trusts. We welcome full time and part time applications. Our service operates from 9am-5pm, Mon-Fri. Applications are processed as they are received. Provide skilled assessment and treatment for children and young people with eating disorders, Deliver individual and group therapy sessions, including mental health interventions, and perform specialist OT assessments with various tools. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions and contribute to service evaluations and audits. Offer guidance on lifestyle changes and environmental adaptations for patients and their carers. Lead on OT-related matters within the service. Use your occupational therapy skills to support the multi-disciplinary team. Represent occupational therapy at multi-disciplinary and professional forums as needed. Improve care standards by developing OT practices, promoting evidence-based methods, and participating in audits and quality improvement projects. Maintain regular contact with CYPF Division and Trust Professional Leads for Occupational Therapy. Work with families, carers, and other professionals from community CAMHS, social care, and voluntary sectors to support the wider CAMHS service in Berkshire.
