The post holder, will be part of the Indigo team acting as a named point of contact for families when their child has died . Statutory guidance for the Child Death Review process contained within Working Together to Safeguard Children, 2018 stipulates that a key worker should be available for bereaved families, providing information and support throughout the child death review process, helping them to navigate the various systems and who can signpost them to sources of support. The postholder will also offer support to siblings and staff and professionals who have been involved in the death, offering one to one sessions and facilitating debriefs. This post-holder will be a key part of the Child Death Review Process Team (CDRP). Main Duties of the Job Liaise with clinical teams to ensure knowledge of every child death. Accountable for liaising with the Child Death Review Process (CDRP) Manager to ensure that every family has been assigned a key worker-which may be the CDRP Key Worker or another key professional for that family. Accountable for initiating early contact with each family on their caseload, in a timely manner and in line with CDRP guidance in order that families know who their Key Worker is and how to contact them Listen and work with families to assess what their most immediate needs are in terms of support and make an individualised plan for each family, agreeing future contact arrangements and signposting to other organisations as appropriate Set up communication systems with families which may include telephone, email or face to face meetings as appropriate, documenting all contac Interview Date - TBC "}
