As the Band 7 you will be required to be a non-medical prescriber, training will be provided to support the delivery of nurse led clinics. More detail about the role The Oncology and Haematology services have been successful in gaining a significant financial investment, increasing the head count by an additional 79 posts across the multi-disciplinary team. The Secondary Breast Clinical Nurse Specialist (\"CNS\") team are looking for a self-motivated, dynamic, enthusiastic, patient focused nurse with recent oncology/haematology experience, to help us maintain the delivery of high-quality care to patients referred to our team. As a Secondary Breast CNS, you will holistically assess the patients current needs providing supportive care to improve their cancer experience and quality of life. The Band 7 will provide the clinical leadership for the secondary service working closely with the Lead Breast CNS & Lead Cancer Nurse providing advanced practice to this group of patients You will be an integrated member of the multidisciplinary team working across the whole patient pathway. This will incorporate supporting the patient as required throughout their breast / oncology pathway. You will be expected to work within the team as well as autonomously, prioritising and managing your caseload and time appropriately.
