The post holder will be responsible for managing the functions, performance, staff and other resources within the Financial Accounts Section, covering: Financial Accounting including responsibility for year-end accounts, monthly monitoring returns, charitable funds, accounting for losses (including medical negligence and personal injury claims), VAT etc. Working closely with the systems & governance and capital teams. They will support the Senior Finance Manager - Financial Accounts in the management of the financial accountancy section and deputise in internal and external groups when required e.g. All-Wales groups. The post holder will have the full range of line management responsibilities over a number of team members in the section and will be involved in any recruitment activity within the department, including the role of recruiting officer for many of the posts.
