The role is challenging, varied, complex and responsive to the increasingly innovative development of new medicines and their role in healthcare today. The training opportunity is an advanced apprenticeship full time fixed term contract for 2 years. You will study to achieve the Level 3 Pharmacy Technician (Integrated) Apprenticeship. This qualification is approved to enable you to apply for registration to practice as Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council. Training and support will be provided by work based assessors and course tutors during your training. Any age post full-time education 16+ Cannot already be on an Apprenticeship or any Government funded training, Cannot have a qualification at the same or higher level in the same vocational area. Has been a UK resident for 3 or more years. OR Meets the eligible and valid residency status and permission to work in the UK criteria in Annex A of the linked funding document: Apprenticeship funding rules 2024 to 2025 (publishing.service.gov.uk) Please check the person specification for the minimum educational requirements to be accepted onto the apprenticeship. Whilst in training the post holder will carry out pharmaceutical duties, under the direct supervision of an appropriate person in all sections of the pharmacy department, including Aseptic Manufacturing. Some of the duties will be in the form of training exercises and competence-based assessments in conjunction with the the Level 3 Pharmacy Technician (Integrated) Apprenticeship.
