Our friendly department consists of a 24 bedded mixed ward for elective and emergency surgeries. The ultimate aim of our Ward Sister post is to provide the Department's nursing teams with visible, supportive and confident leadership. The post-holder will liaise with the multidisciplinary team and enable a smooth transition of service. You will also directly line manage Clinical and non clinical staff members and be responsible for appraisals and the development of your team. Reporting to the Matron, this interesting role will demand your finest leadership and organisational skills and you will have the enthusiasm and energy to help take the service forward in delivering the highest possible standards of care and patient experience. This will encompass clinical audit, risk management and driving continuous quality improvement.
