We are seeking to recruit a substantive Consultant Older Adult Psychiatrist to work with the teams in Lancaster and Morecambe. The post is full time and the postholder will support the Community Mental Health Team (CMHT), Rapid Intervention and Treatment Team (RITT) and Memory Assessment Service (MAS). There will be an expectation to join the Consultant On Call rota, for which additional remuneration is payable. The clinical component of the post is focused on the care of the patients referred to the Rapid Intervention and Treatment Team, Community Mental Health Team and Memory Assessment Service with work base in Morecambe and/or Lancaster as will be agreed during job planning. Applicants should hold full GMC registration and be included on the Specialist register of the GMC or they should be eligible for entry to the Specialist Register within 6 months of the interview date. It is a requirement that applicants are Section 12 Approved at the time of commencing employment and have or are eligible to have Approved Clinician Status. Remuneration will be as set out in the terms of the New Consultant Contract according to previous experience.
