This post is for 6 months potentially extending to 1 year. Post is available immediately to start. Any candidate who is unable for personal reasons to work full-time will be eligible to be considered for the post; if such a person is appointed, modification of the job content will be discussed on a personal basis with the Trust in consultation with consultant colleagues. The appointee, together with Consultant colleagues, will be responsible for the provision of the Elective Hand and Trauma Reconstructive Service. This will include microsurgery for both upper and lower limb reconstruction. The appointee will undertake outpatient clinics for both elective and non-elective patients, trauma and elective operating sessions, ward round duties and take part in an on-call rota for general Plastic Surgery which includes Hands, soft tissue trauma including lower limb, and Burns (specialist Burns Surgeons provide overriding care for all Burns patients but emergency cover may be required when on-call).
