The post-holder will work within the East Midlands Head & Neck Cancer Network, which is a part of the wider East Midlands Acute Providers network (EMAP). The role is hosted by a University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust (UHDB) - one of the member organisations of the network. The role will be a combination of home and office based, although meetings via Microsoft Teams and in person will be required across the whole Network area, as above. The role is funded by NHS England & Improvement, on behalf of EMAP. The role supports the Network in driving transformation as well as value for money in planning, commissioning and service. The role is designed to build a combination of expertise and technical skills to develop a strong service delivery model. The post holder will report to the Head of Partnerships in UHDB, but will work on a day-to-day basis with professional, clinical and managerial colleagues across the East Midlands. The role is accountable to the East Midlands Head & Neck Cancer Network Chair. The post holder will: Support the Network to deliver their work programme Support delivery of the vision arising from the head and neck services review in East Midlands: to be a nationally/internationally recognised network of excellence for head and neck cancer delivering excellent care and outcomes Closing Date: 11 November 2024 Interview Date: 25 November 2024 About us Key elements within the job description include: Operational Management of the Network Project Management Enabling Clinical Leadership Enabling Patient and Public Engagement Partnership and Cross-Boundary Working Promoting Equality and Reducing Inequalities The ability to work in a highly politically sensitive environment, and to establish strong credibility with senior clinical colleagues will be vital in this role. Demonstrable and substantial experience of working in a complex operational clinical network environment, with associated strong understanding of the value and potential of networks are a pre-requisite for this role. Additionally, good knowledge of head, neck and thyroid services, acquired through working experience of the services will be very valuable in the role, along with a strong working knowledge of NHS acute provider organisations across the East Midlands.
