We are a friendly hospital with an interactive and innovative approach from our management team. Patient care is at the centre of all we do and we would welcome a candidate who is prepared to follow the principle of \"would I be happy for a member of my own family to receive this care/treatment?\" and strive for excellence. To join a team of 13 consultants, 2 associate specialists, 4 Trust grade doctors and 6 trainees. The out-patients department and adjacent emergency area are well equipped with multiple clinic rooms, a separate one-stop cataract assessment area and a minor ops theatre. There is a 5 room macula suite with 3 multi-function injection rooms. We house a comprehensive range of diagnostic equipment, the majority of which is networked via Zeiss Forum software. Included are five Humphrey perimeters plus one Octopus, 3 OCT's (Zeiss), digital fundus and anterior segment photography, ultra-sound, Pentacam and IOLMaster biometry. Within the outpatient department are Yag, argon and SLT lasers. The orthoptic department is staffed by three full time and one part time orthoptists and there are special clinics including medical retina, vitreoretinal, glaucoma, oculoplastic, Paediatric, corneal and neuro-ophthalmology. Imaging facilities consist of CT and MR at both Bournemouth and Poole.
