The Service covers a vast Geographical area- in order to fulfil this role the successful applicant must have the ability to travel between sites in a timelymanner. Clerking and initial assessment of patient including clinical examination Procedures -IV cannulation, catheterization, phlebotomy Administration of IV/SC fluids, IV antibiotics and other prescribed drugs e.g. IV furosemide Taking part in board round and hand over Liaise with teams in the hospital- A and E, MAU, OPAU to discuss suitable patients that can be discharged into the community. All Registrants within ACT are accountable for ensuring that at all times the patients best interests are promoted and protected. Decisions and actions are in accordance with the NMC Professional Code of Conduct Each member of the service has a responsibility to ensure that on each contact with a patient or on receipt of any information concerning the client, they risk assess the situation, including the needs of the patient and analysis of the degree of risk.
