The successful post holder will be working within an experienced team of Resuscitation Practitioners and trainers and will be involved in the educational, clinical and research elements of resuscitation. The post will require the candidate to be able to deliver basic to advanced life support to a variety of clinical and non-clinical staff. The successful post holder will also form part of the medical emergency/cardiac arrest team and will be actively involved in deploying advanced resuscitation interventions, e.g. mechanical compressions and intraosseous access. The Junior Resuscitation Practitioner (JRP) will implement and deliver resuscitation training to appropriate groups of staff within the Trust. Deliver basic/immediate/intermediate life support sessions unsupervised following pre-determined lesson plans ,following a period of supervision, in a variety of flexible ways, recording performance. To assist in the maintenance of training records and databases as needed by the Service To ensure timely reporting of critical incidents as per Trust policy Report any resuscitation equipment deficits and ensure that appropriate action has taken place Ensure resuscitation equipment in all areas is checked on a regular basis, is regularly appraised and risks assessed Input of data to resuscitation databases - resuscitation outcomes, clinical risks, all training programmes and participant attendance Provide and circulate data to relevant stakeholders as directed by the Clinical Lead for Resuscitation Provide guidance, support and supervision to the Resuscitation Service Technician Ensure any requested resuscitation related audits are carried out and reported formally to the LRP and any other committee deemed suitable by the LRP The successful post holder will also form part of the medical emergency/cardiac arrest team and will be actively involved in deploying advanced resuscitation interventions, e.g. mechanical compressions and intraosseous access.
