The successful applicant will be expected to deliver and role-model safe, high quality nursing care within the department. The role will involve preparation of patients prior to scans and tests, including nursing assessment, blood taking and injecting radionuclides, provision of nursing care during and post scans. They will also act as a mentor to students and junior staff and undertake managerial duties where appropriate. The Institute of Nuclear Medicine (INM) provides a comprehensive PET/CT, SPECT/CT and general nuclear medicine imaging and bone densitometry service to UCLH Trust, the London PCTs and other Trust within the UK. As well as a large and varied clinical workload we have an extensive and internationally recognised research programme with University College London and other external collaborators.
