Please note that this role is a secondment opportunity. Before applying you must seek agreement and authorisation from your current line manager. Secondments can't be agreed without your current manager's approval. If you are unable to gain your managers approval you should refrain from applying unless you wish to take this role as a fixed term position. We are a busy 38 bedded unit specialising in endocrine and vascular patients. Applicant needs to have at least 2 years experience at band 6 in an acute medical area. We welcome applications from those who currently hold a UK NMC registration. If you currently hold an overseas nursing qualification and require sponsorship we are not currently direct hiring Internationally Qualified Nurses. Working clinically within the ward area as well as staff management , maintaining standards of care , answering PALS /complaints and managing staff sickness and other HR issues. About us To have continuing 24 hour responsibility for the effective management of the area . The post holder will provide nursing leadership within this area, ensuring an effective quality nursing service, with responsibility for standards of nursing care and patient safety. The ward sister is responsible for the budget management of the ward, staff performance and appraisal. To manage an appropriate patient workload across the service, providing expert support and advice. Developing the teams and ensuring a seamless service for patients working closely with the ward sister. "}
