The Estates Maintenance Department is looking to recruit a Maintenance Assistant Higher to join our dedicated team at the University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust. We operate across Southampton General Hospital and Princess Anne Hospital, this is a large static site. You will work with a team of Assistants and trades staff and assist in the repair and maintenance of various systems throughout the hospital. Key Responsibilities: Assisting band 2 maintenance assistants Plumbing and drainage Boilers/calorifiers. Nurse call, portable equipment testing Ventilation Lamp/fluorescent tube replacement Minor building fabric repairs Decoration of small areas/rooms as they become available Hanging/rehanging of notice boards/whiteboards General maintenance related cleaning duties Providing backup for craftsmen/contractors Other specialist duties may also be required after appropriate training.
