The team consists of Consultants, Lead nurses, senior mental health practitioners and support workers. The team works across the city to offer the young adults of Birmingham specialist assessment, diagnosis and intervention. We have an exciting opportunity to be opening the first ever psychiatry decisions unit (PDU) with a place of safety in a band new building. This is an exciting post for a mental health nurse. Completing assessments of young peoples mental health and developing an individual plan of care Developing and implementing robust risk management plans Ensuring the physical wellbeing of the young person when in the case of the HBPOS Representing the service at professionals meetings and relevant stakeholder events Liaison with families and carers Completing and holding oversight of mental health act processes and documentation Supporting crisis and home treatment teams as needed Please see job description for full details.
