To liaise with clinical staff to ensure smooth running of clinics and to develop good working practices and relationships with the team. To provide advice and information to patients regarding their appointments, clinic arrangements etc; resolve queries from patients and relatives in relation to these areas and reassure nervous patients. To gather and share information as required for the relevant clinical area, either verbally or electronically, which is pertinent to the members of the clinical and non- clinical teams, exercising discretion and confidentiality at all times. To pass on queries to colleagues within the team ensuring that patients are communicated with in an effective manner. Ensure that outcomes of pre-op clinics are recorded and directed to relevant staff with full reasons for attendances/cancellations/postponements.
