We are looking for RNLD qualified Deputy Ward Manager. This is a great opportunity to develop your leadership skills and drive exciting developments working as part of a multi-disciplinary team in the delivery of high-quality individualised care and treatment to adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. Supporting the Ward Manager to ensure we continue to maintain excellent, patient focused services in line with our national and locally agreed targets. The Assessment and Treatment Unit provides highly specialised assessment, formulation, and intervention to meet individual needs, working within positive behavioural support frameworks providing trauma-informed care. The post holder will practice autonomously and be responsible and accountable for safe, compassionate person-centred evidence-based nursing that respects and maintains dignity and human rights. They will be responsible for the supervision and coaching of junior members of the team, leading quality improvement initiatives, operational management and production of E-rostering, completion of monthly audits and supporting the leadership team with quality assurance action planning. As Deputy to the Ward Manager, the expectation is that the successful candidate be flexible and able to cover the days Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm taking responsibility in operational duties in the absence of the Team Lead. The post holder is responsible for the delivery of care and for the supervision of others who are carrying out all aspects of the caring process. The post-holder will assist in setting and maintaining standards of care, will participate in maintaining effective management of the team and unit and will also maintain effective integration with the multi-disciplinary team and assist with the facilitation of a collaborative approach to patient focussed care.
