About us To be a team member of Alder Heys Paediatric Occupational Therapy team and as such, carry a complex caseload across Neurology and or Oncology, working in partnership with parents, carers, education and other service providers to ensure a child centred approach to therapy. To have responsibility for the delivery and co-ordination of high-quality Occupational Therapy to children with a range of conditions and presentations. Utilise a high level of knowledge developed through experience of acute paediatrics, neurology or oncology. To provide a range of specialist individualised therapeutic interventions, supporting children through provision of highly specialist advanced clinical reasoning, to provide formulate and deliver individual treatment plans. To organise this caseload effectively and efficiently regarding clinical priorities, time, and staffing levels. To act as a lead therapist to assess, diagnose/interpret and manage own specialist caseload of complex patients as an autonomous practitioner in accordance with the RCOT code of conduct and HCPC standards. To act as an autonomous practitioner responsible for the assessment, treatment and ongoing management of a highly specialist caseload. within a specialised paediatric occupational therapy service. To provide highly specialist assessment and intervention in a range of settings including wards, outpatients, clinics, home and school. Delivering holistic highly specialist assessment of the childs needs and providing treatment programmes to meet the childs rehabilitation needs. The post holder may be required to provide input to other areas of the service as required. To build on previous experience enabling further development of clinical and managerial competencies, with responsibility for management and leadership of rotational staff and assistants within the team. To supervise and support junior staff within these specialities and support across the Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy service. "}
