A Clinical Housekeeper in the Emergency Department plays a vital role in ensuring that the environment is clean, organized, and safe for both patients and staff: Cleaning and Disinfection: Ensuring patient bays and common areas are cleaned and disinfected regularly.Adhering to infection control protocols, including proper cleaning of high-touch surfaces and equipment. Stocking and Replenishment: Ensuring that essential supplies, such as PPE, hand sanitizers, towels, and cleaning products, are stocked and available. Environmental Safety: Reporting any maintenance issues, such as broken equipment, leaks, or other hazards, to the appropriate department. Supporting Clinical Staff: Providing basic assistance to staff in preparing treatment areas for procedures, including setting up trolleys and restocking items.
