An opportunity has arisen for afull time imaging assistant to join the forward thinking ultrasound team of the HullUniversity Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. You will be working as a part of a friendly team of dedicated and hardworking sonographers and support workers within the ultrasound department of the Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust. You will be required to rotate through Hull Royal Infirmary, the Women's and Children's Hospital, Castle hill hospital as well as various community sites. These are the East Riding Community hospital, The Wilberforce Centre, Marfleet group Practice, the Alfred bean Hospital in Driffield and occasionally, the Hornsea Cottage Hospital. Please note that this advertised vacancy does not meet the UKVI eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa and therefore HUTH would not be able to issue a Certificate of Sponsorship for this role The imaging assistant role is primarily to help the sonographers and radiologists in delivering a quality service for all users of the ultrasound department. The role has aspects of patient care, communication, IT, and some portering duties. There is a need for the successful candidate to be able to multi-task, work well within a team and have a flexible approach to their working site and hours. The service is provided over 7 days and the core opening hours of the department are between 8am to 6pm. The post holder needs to be flexible to be able to work any shift of up to 10 hours within the opening hours depending upon service need. GCSE English and Maths are essential, along with previous employment in a similar environment/NHS/care setting.. As this role is a development of the existing ultrasound service, previous experience in this area of healthcare is desirable. Previous experience of dealing with the general public is essential, along with good communication skills, ability to work as an effective team member and good organisational and keyboard skills.
