To manage and lead the Critical Care and Recovery service on a continual basis, to provide support to the Duty Managers Ward Managers and Theatres To provide strategic and operational leadership, management, supervision and support to the team to develop and grow the utilisation of critical care. Identify and manage performance issues in line with Hospital policies Manage sickness in line with Hospital policy To participate departmental recruitment and retention of staff Exhibiting a high level of teamwork with the unit and in the wider hospital environment. To ensure all staff within the team are up to date with the national critical care competency assessments Participate fully as a team member, including working in all areas of the Critical Care Unit and Theatre Suite, to promote a cohesive team and the achievement of team objectives.
