Band 6 0.5 WTE (18.75hours/week) Our Immunology team is expanding and we are looking for a new enthusiastic colleague to join our friendly nursing team as a band 6 Specialist Nurse with a focus on Antibody Deficiencies. We are a big, welcoming team of Specialist Nurses, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Research Nurses and trainee Advance Clinical Practitioners who are passionate about our work providing world leading Immunology care to children and families at a centre of excellence. We work in close partnership with the medical- and multi-professional teams to treat and support children undergoing complex and innovative treatments like bone marrow transplantations, gene therapy and thymus transplants as well as providing basic immunological management and follow up. Our work is very rewarding as children experience positive outcomes and we build meaningful relationships with families over time. The post could be flexibly combined with another part-time role and we offer a wide range of learning opportunities which would support you to develop and progress your nursing role within the exciting area of Immunology. The job involves infusion training and setting up families for home treatment as well as providing ongoing support and follow up from diagnosis until transitioning to adult services.Effective communication and excellent organizational skills are essential.
