Working with the procurement team you will be responsible for ensuring the cost effective and timely purchase of drugs for , as well as the monitoring and ordering of drugs and consumables for the dispensaries and aseptic service. In addition to the work in the procurement office, the postholder will undertake regular work in the pharmacy store, assisting with procurment and delivery queries, assisting in the training of staff and providing cover for other senior assistat sif needed. All senior pharmacy assistants undertake regular dispensary sessions Please note that this advertised vacancy does not meet the UKVI eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa and therefore HUTH would not be able to issue a Certificate of Sponsorship for this role Hours of work will be dependent on service need but will include one designated late stay, initially Friday (at the present time worked in the dispensary) where you will be expected to stay until all the work is completed and claim any additional time worked as lieu time or overtime. Weekend and bank holiday (including Christmas Day) working is also a requirement of the role To meet the changing needs of the service, the duties and working times attached to this post may be subject to reasonable change in the future. About us You should hold an NVQ level2 in pharmacy services (or equivalent experience) and should have a minimum of 1 years experience as a pharmacy assistant in a hospital pharmacy setting (or equivalent experience in a community setting) The successful applicant will take a pro-active approach, have excellent communication and customer service skills and be keen to embrace change and look at new ways of working.
