The service operates seven days a week from 8am - 6pm. These extended working hours allows more flexible working for anyone looking for more flexible hours. Weekend working is generally on a 1:4 ratio with days off during the week. There are two teams supporting patients registered with GP practices working in Tunbridge Wells and surrounding areas supporting theTunbridge Wells Primary Care network.Each team has two senior nurses who to take responsibility for a defined geographical area, and provide clinical leadership to their Band5, Band 4 and Band 3 staff. The team will work together to manage caseload patients delivering a high-quality service. Candidates will be experienced nurses with relevant transferrable clinical skills. Candidates wanting to move to a community setting with advanced clinical skills or expertise will be considered. KCHFT is keen to support development and therefore, candidates without the specialist District Nurse qualification or having a recognised advanced clinical skills/module will be considered for trainee posts. Using the named nurse model, we want to allow nurses to spend more time with patients, promoting self-management where possible, and improving patient lives. Staff will be required to drive their own car and are able to claim mileage costs and access the NHS car lease provision, following their probationary period.
