As Consultant Psychiatrist, you will lead the clinical management and treatment of patients within the General Adult Psychiatry Home Treatment Service and provide input to the Older People's Mental Health (OPMH) service. You will perform regular patient assessments, collaborate in multi-disciplinary team meetings, and deliver expert psychiatric care to working age adults and older adults, supporting them in their recovery journeys. Key responsibilities include weekly patient reviews, Memory clinic assessments, providing crisis intervention, and supporting HTTs to gatekeep admissions to inpatient units, enabling patients to receive care in the community wherever possible. Additionally, youll supervise and guide junior medical staff, support training and education of HTTs, and engage in clinical governance initiatives.
