We have an exciting opportunity available at the Royal Cornwall Hospital for Registered Nurses to join our committed team on Tintagel ward in the Acute and Emergent Medicine Group. This is a 28 bedded ward for neurology and eldercare. Our nurses are trained and supported to be able to look after our patients with clinical needs that include patients with acute neurological conditions, traumatic brain injuries, tracheostomy's, chest wall injuries and spinal injuries. We are also supported on the wards by neuro therapy teams to ensure out patients are supported in the early stages of their rehabilitation. We are a very dedicated team that strive to offer the best care for our patients and their needs. We are seeking applications from registered nurses who have the ability and determination to learn and to gain new skills and competencies and who are motivated to develop the highest standards of care and who are committed to continuous improvement. This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours per week. To work as a skilled member of the nursing team. To provide a high standard of compassionate patient-centred care. To lead and supervise the work of other qualified and unqualified staff within the team. To communicate effectively at all levels within the multi-disciplinary team. To be able to take charge of the ward in the absence of senior nursing staff, as deemed appropriate by the Ward Leader or Clinical Matron. Successful applicants will have excellent communication skills and have a good knowledge and understanding of clinical standards. You must be able to work on your own initiative and also be an excellent team player whilst being prepared to develop as an individual and support others to develop.
