This new facility provides training for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Dental Students. The key aspects to this post will be to sustain the high standards and quality of Dental Nursing practice that is delivered by the Dental Hospital. It is essential you have a recognised dental nurse qualification. We offer excellent training opportunities and encourage our staff to be innovative and forward thinking, using their skills and knowledge to support and improve services. Applicants need to meet all essential criteria on the person specification to be considered for interview. You will provide close support for the dental students by maintaining high standards of infection control. Confident, competent, self-motivated and enthusiastic are all attributes required for these positions as well as the ability to work as part of the dental team. You need to be interested in ensuring quality Dental services and must be able to communicate effectively with patients, clinicians and other healthcare professionals and demonstrate very high standards. In return, we will provide you with a full induction and support you with a personal development plan and ongoing training when required. The postholder will ensure the best possible dental nursing care and practice is delivered to patients including those with complex medical, physical and emotional needs. She/he will provide close support dentistry, maintaining high standards of patient care and infection control. The post holder will act as a positive role model within the department for all staff, patients and carers.The post holder will be expected to learn new skills in line with new practices, qualifications and modernisation and will also have a commitment to continuing professional development.
