Deliver highly specialist clinical services to children across the age range including developing, implementing and evaluating specialist programmes of care, advice and support for preschool children with developmental speech, language delays / disorders and social communication differences. The role will include supporting parents, clients and other health and education professionals in all issues related to client management and delivering parent workshops to support understanding of ASD pre and post-diagnosis. To conduct highly specialist Speech and Language Therapy assessments to support the differential diagnosis of broad range of complex neuro-developmental conditions. This will involve assessment and differential diagnosis of children with probable comorbidities and differing social and educational contexts. To assess, develop and implement highly specialist Speech and Language Therapy programmes of care to meet the needs of clients, in collaboration with other professionals adapting practice to meet individual patients' circumstances. To write comprehensive reports to be shared with families and a range of professionals, reflecting specialist knowledge including initial assessment/review reports, EHCNA, Annual Reviews and Tribunal reports. About us To take a delegated role or lead, as requested by SLT Leadership team, in working groups, policy development groups, specific projects and events. To use highly specialist knowledge to inform line manager on issues of service delivery/ policy development, including access and equity shortfalls and service pressures. To develop care protocols/packages relating to specialist area in liaison with Team Leader to improve client care. To interpret clinical guidelines and adapt to local service needs on the basis of specialist clinical knowledge.
