Key tasks include reconciling patients medication history, assessing patients own drugs, transcribing medicines, patient counselling, dispensing and final accuracy checking. You must have the ability to plan and prioritise your workload to meet tight deadlines and be a team player. You will be required to participate in weekend, Bank Holiday and late duty working on rotation in the dispensary. To participate in ward-based medicines management activities including medicines reconciliation, assessment of patients' own drugs and transcribing of medication for dispensing. To undertake dispensary technical duties including labelling and dispensing of medicines, final accuracy checking and all required record-keeping. The post holder will be required to participate in weekend, Bank Holiday and late duty working on rotation in the dispensary.
