We are looking for an enthusiastic HPCP registered Physiotherapist with excellent communication skills, a keen interest and experience in paediatrics and a willingness to develop skills in this specialist area. You will need to be a team player and work collaboratively with a supportive and integrated therapy team. You should be able to demonstrate the ability to apply theory to practice in relation to current evidence. You will be provided with support to develop paediatric physiotherapy assessment and treatment skills and receive regular support and supervision. You will be required to participate in ongoing service development and progression and contribute to training to the wider health and education MDT. Multidisciplinary and multi-agency working is a major part of the job and allows the team to provide person centred, safe and joined up care. As an autonomous practitioner, to provide specialist assessment and treatment of children using a variety of modalities for those whose presentation could include complex physical, respiratory or developmental difficulties and have other diverse health needs. Therapy is provided in a variety of settings. 2. To maintain accurate, comprehensive and up to date clinical records in accordance with professional standards and local policy. To communicate assessment and treatment results to the appropriate disciplines verbally and in the form of letters and reports. 3. To work sensitively with parents and carers to ensure excellent communication on all aspects of the childs care. To communicate effectively with children and carers to maximise rehabilitation potential and to ensure understanding of conditions to give sensitive/emotive information around diagnosis and or outcomes. 4. To use developed interpersonal and communication skills to gain co-operation where barriers to communication may exist.
